The ActionCast helps you pick the best day and time for your activity with a green/yellow/red color code that helps you quickly evaluate the local weather conditions. Green means go — conditions are good for your activity. Yellow means the weather conditions are marginal, so be prepared with an umbrella or extra gear. Red means the forecast is unfavorable for your activity — think about rescheduling and finding a better time. You can tap the yellow and red colored boxes to see what weather conditions are causing the marginal or unfavorable forecast. Use the green/yellow/red colors to quickly identify what times are better or worse based on the weather forecast.
Expand the card for each day to reveal additional details about the temperature, winds, cloud cover, and precipitation. Subscribers get access to the probability of thunderstorms, rain/snow amounts at each hour, humidity, dewpoint, heat index, wind chill, and the confidence in the forecast.
Live weather alerts are displayed at the top of the page when issued by the NOAA National Weather Service (NWS). These include warnings, watches, and advisories.
The FAQ and Tutorial in the Settings menu provides a full explanation of how to use all the features in the ActionCast, along with more details about the forecast information.
